Mercedes is the Director of Bright Little Scholars Early Learning Center. Bright Little Scholars was created in 2014 as a home-based child care. With means to expand, Bright Little Scholars has moved to it's new location to provide the same service to more families. Mercedes takes pride and joy in every child that is enrolled at the Child Care Center. With over 10 years experience of working with children, Mercedes also has worked with children outside of working at Bright Little Scholars. Mercedes was also a resource (foster) parent for over five years through Children's Choice, Inc.

Mercedes have recently received her Bachelors Degree Early Childhood Education. She is also the founder of "Kids Before Us," a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization that focuses on youth development through literacy and mathematics.

 

Bright Little Scholars is licensed through the City of Philadelphia and also through the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL). All staff receive on going training and clearances (FBI, Child Abuse, and Criminal) are always up to date.
